The Estate Grown 2004 Barrouge is a blend of 85% Cabernet Sauvignon and 15% Merlot from the Barlow estate. The philosophy is to capture all the sweet supple flavors of Merlot as well as the density and weight of Cabernet Sauvignon. The 2004 Barrouge is indicative of the vintage, it is soft, supple, concentrated and charming. Aromatically the wine is filled with red currants and hints of sweet vanilla. On the palate you can find cherries and currants with long lenghty tannins.
